Theodora Goss

Theodora Goss is an award-winning fantasy novelist, short story writer, and writing professor.  Her debut novel, The Strange Case of the Alchemist’s Daughter (2017) ,picks up the collective stories of the famous literary scientists and detectives of nineteenth-century literature with their various daughters who must untangle the secrets of their families’ pasts. These women form the Athena Club; their story is continued in the sequel, and Goss’s newest novel,  European Travel for the Monstrous Gentlewoman. Her books and publications include the short story collection In the Forest of Forgetting (2016), a collection coedited with Delia Sherman titled Interfictions (2017), the poetry collection Songs for Ophelia (2014), two Tor.com novellas Come See the Living Dryad (2017) and Red as Blood and White as Bone (2016), among other novellas and short stories published in variety of outlets. She holds a PhD in English literature from Boston University, where she is now a professor of writing in the Stonecoast MFA program.
