Sam Graham-Felsen is an author, journalist, and the former blogger of the 2008 Barack Obama campaign. His debut novel is Green, which is set in Jamaica Plain and delves into white privilege, racism, and the dawning of racial awareness by chronicling the friendship of white David Greenfield and his black friend from the projects, Marlon, who bond over being outcasts in their primarily Black and Latino school. The book was an Indie Next selection, an Amazon “Best Book of the Month,” a New York Times Editor’s Pick, and among one of Barnes and Noble’s “Six Debuts to Watch for in 2018.” Graham-Felsen has had work published in The Nation, New York Times Magazine, and the Washington Post, among others.
