Paige Williams

Paige Williams is a decorated journalist. A staff writer at the New Yorker, she is also a former newspaper reporter, having worked for the Washington Post, the Charlotte Observer, and the Clarion-Ledger. She won the National Magazine Award for features writing and has been anthologized in five Best American volumes, including The Best American Magazine Writing and The Best American Crime Writing. Williams was the MacDowell Colony’s 2015–2016 John S. Carroll Fellow and was a Nieman Fellow at Harvard. She is the Laventhol Visiting Professor at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, and has taught at NYU, the Missouri School of Journalism, and MIT, in the Knight Science Journalism program. Her first book, The Dinosaur Artist: Obsession, Betrayal, and the Quest for Earth's Ultimate Trophy, was praised by Publishers Weekly, in a starred review, as a "fascinating account" featuring deep research and a "vivid storytelling style."
