Jonathan Auxier

Jonathan Auxier is an award-winning author of fantastical books for children. His 2012 debut, Peter Nimble and His Fantastic Eyes, is about a blind orphan in Victorian London who finds a set of magical eyes that allow him to see a unseen world. His second book, the Victorian ghost story The Night Gardener, won a TD Book Award and an ILA Children’s Book Award and was named a best book of 2014 by Publishers Weekly, NPR, SLJ, and Kirkus. His next book, which took place in the world of Peter Nimble, was Sophie Quire and the Last Storyguard (2016). Auxier earned his MFA in dramatic writing from Carnegie Mellon University. He lives near Los Angeles with his wife. His latest book is Sweep: The Story of a Girl and Her Monster.
