David Edwards

David Edwards is a veritable idea machine. He invented edible packaging, now produced by Incredible Food. He writes fiction and nonfiction in both French and English. He created porous particles for inhaled drug and vaccine delivery. Edwards is currently the Gordon McKay Professor of the Practice of Idea Translation at Harvard. His creations and ideas have led to the creation of a spate of companies and startups, among them LabStore, Cafe ArtScience, Le Laboratoire, Sensory Cloud, and oNotes. Edwards is a Chevalier of Arts & Letters in France, a member of the National Academies of Engineering in both the United States and France, and a member of the National Academy of Inventors. He is also the author of several books, including The Lab: Experiments in ArtScience (2010) and  Artscience: Creativity in the Post-Google Generation (2008). His newest book is Creating Things That Matter: The Art and Science of Innovations That Last.
