Alma Katsu

Alma Katsu is a bestselling author whose work has been compared to Anne Rice and Diana Gabaldon. Her debut novel—and first book in the Taker Trilogy—The Taker, was published in 2011 and was named one of the top ten debut novels of 2011 by Booklist. Before becoming a writer, Katsu had a lengthy career in intelligence, working both for US agencies and a think tank, and is currently an emerging technology consultant. She has also been a Huffington Post contributor and a signature reviewer for Publishers Weekly. The second installment of the Taker Trilogy, The Reckoning, was published in 2012; the third and final book, The Descent, was published in 2014. Her latest novel is The Hunger, a supernatural reimagining of the Donner Party fiasco, which Stephen King called “hard to put down.”
