Becky Albertalli

Becky Albertalli is the author of the young adult novel Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, which was made into the successful 2018 film Love, Simon. Simon was Albertalli’s debut novel and won her the 2015 William C. Morris Award for the year’s best debut novel for teen readers. Albertalli has returned to Simon and his friends in her next two novels, The Upside of Unrequited (2017) and Leah on the Offbeat (2018). Before becoming a novelist, Albertalli worked as a clinical psychologist counseling teenagers. She also co-led a support group for gender nonconforming youth. She now lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with her family. Her latest release is a collaboration with Adam Silvera, What If It’s Us?, a queer love story about fate, New York City, and the postal service.
